Blast at Luna Caprese, Islamabad

The authorities declared that it was not a suicide bomber attack. According to the authorities 12 poeple have been injured with 3 as Pakistani nationals, 5 Americans, 1 Turkish, 1 Japanese, 1 British citizen and 1 Canadian. A Turkish women,Ms. Elaine, has died in the blast. The resturant is situated in a central location and lots of people visit it on weekend nights.This could be a possible reason for the attack.

I think the only way to stop this ridiculous bloodletting is to start bombing mosques.

It's time that we, as a nation, stand united to fight such acts of terror; passing comments without thinking, as in case of Mr. Khalifah, is not at all going to serve the purpose. Who said these are the bearded Muslims are involved into it, passing such sort of sweeping statements is not a wise act.

All the government has to do is close all the madaris, half the mosques and arrest the Islamic priests
Most disturbing is the fact that religion has 'nothing' to do with it. And it's just being exploited for embedded political purposes. Moreover, one can never be sure who the suicide bomber or the masterminds behind all these attacks are. Most attacks are politically motivated. And just because the media perpetuates stereotypical imaging, it doesn't mean that we should blindly start believing in all what it feeds us with. It isn't 'always' a bearded, brainwashed molvi, therefore I suggest, we stop generalizing just for the heck of it.

As I said earlier, and as indicated by Marium Asim (hope I got it right) as well, the stereotyping done by the media has got a lot to do with the popular propaganda; we are an Islamic state, and you can’t simply ban Masjid and Mederesa just because Uncle Sam wants them to be shut. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the Wazeristan and adjacent areas have stopped accepting Pak Rupee and are only accepting US Dollar and Indian Rupee as their currency; if it is true, then Mr. Khalifah, can you tell me who is pumping and pouring all this money there??? By using harsh words we can only create more bombers, as we have done during last 8 years, the solutions is to engage with them in political talks and come up with some minimal common agenda to ACT UPON; yes the key here is ACT, nothing of the sort that has been happening with them since last 8 years.
We have to draw a distinction here. There are two 'foes', one the freedom fighters of NWFP and Balochistan who rightfully want to break away from Pakistan and then there are the Islamic preachers of hate who convince impressionable children in MADRESSAS and MOSQUES that killing innocents in the name of 'safeguarding' religion is OK. It is the latter that I am against and there is no other solution but to remove those Islamic priests from the society either by imprisonment or through the use of their own favourite modus operandi.
A mosque or madressah which resonates with slogans of hatred rather than "celebration of the praises of Allah" ceases to be a religious institution and should no longer be afforded immunity.
If the religious sensitivities of the Islamic priests are offended by the perceived 'ills' in society and if they take it upon themselves to remedy them as they deem appropriate then censure me not for responding in kind

looks like talabans have the latest informations about fbi agents in pak through isi . the next attack can be averted if usa give billions of dollars to talabans now , other wise there is no way to stop these attacks , or americans & others western torpido them selves from pak , we want to see them not get killed but its a dangerious pak any thing can happen any time ,
Well... it is the resturant most frequented by foreigners as wine is readily available there. Even Pakistanis with foreigner acquaintances get to visit it for this very reason. One cannot be sure about the reason behind the blast but with the paraphernalia of reasons being given already I think any would go until some group owns the blast.
Can be attributed to the hatred some Pakistani groups feel towards the western world and the Pakistani forces working in alliance with the Americans against Islamic militants in different northern regions.
I basically blame it to the ignorance of ppl. If this is the best possible way of protesting, maybe, I say, regretfully, we should all start killing each other. Islam preaches tolerance.
I would further like to comment on Mr Khalifa's feeling towards the misleading preachers of Islam. There is a hadith in which our HOLY PROPHET (MPUH) referred to them as the evil in the last days of planet earth. This is the very damage for which they would have been named so. I hope I have been able to quote the hadith correctly in terms of its meanings. However, it very aptly justifies the feelings of Mr Khalifa.

With reference to the term Islamic militants; I would like to give the meanings of the word as per the CONCISE OXFORD DICTIONARY- it means 'favouring confrontational methods in support of a cause'. Why is the term so offensive when it correctly describes the actions of our Muslim brothers there ( :) only using the term to pacify your bruised ego )?
I do not know whether they have a beard or not so again the accusation is merely that.
One of your questions where you inquire what I expect in return of the brutal killings by the US choppers is rather interesting. I expect just the very thing and reaction that is taking place all over Pakistan but I attribute it to the despondent and ignorant minds of such individuals who have nothing better to do but take out their frustrations without caring that it is our own ppl and our own children and our very own nation that we are destroying and are not really affecting the Americans in any way. Did you hear what Aitazaz Hassan said in his address yesterday to the foreigners present? He asked them to let the Pakistanis have their free judiciary like the western countries and to support the nationwide campaign of the lawyers to this end. Why did he ask them to do that?
Why does Pakistan constantly need the backing of America? Eva thought about that? It's always resources and the means and ends mianjee.

Aitezaz made 2nd mistake...The 1st one was when he said that the judges can be restored by executive order....it was an open invitation for General Kyani to come and outlaw the executive order of previous general...If Kyani had done that we must had been suffering with an other dictator...
Collectively we have to stop the amarican intervention as well as requesting them to "play their rule" . I was astonished to see that the political leaders every month bow at amarican embassy.... Every month , Farooq sattar, Amin Fahim, Babar awan, Ch. nisar ali khan and even Liaqat baloch visit amarican embassy.... What the hell they seek over there??? If there is some harmony needed then these parties should send their "Foreign affair incharges" instead of sending these top profiles.
