Benazir Bhutto is free from house arrest.

Benazir Bhutto who was house arrested at her Islamabad residence in the wake of her call for rally against the emergency imposition, was freed later last night.

Although it has been reported that a lot of Peoples Party workers and officials have been arrested in the last few days and Benazir Bhutto herself has been openly condemning the imposition of emergency by General Pervez Musharraf, many people like myself are still unclear about PPPs position in the current political crisis in Pakistani.

Benazir Bhutto's exile, meetings between Benazir Bhutto and President Pervez Musharraf, a possible deal between government and Pakistan Peoples Party, withdrawal of cases against Benazir Bhutto and Benazir's return into Pakistan, are all questions that have left the Pakistani public in a undecisive situation as to whether Benazir is trying for a democratic rule or rule by all means possible.

As for myself, I have had enough of all these turn takers (Benazir and Nawaz Sharif) and don't even know what I should want. I am for democracy, yes, but the thought that the choices are the same, really bugs me. If we are going to go back to square one, then what is all this struggle for. Democracy with ignorance is a more depressing than not having a choice, atleast I'll be happy telling myself that I did not have an option and something inevitable was imposed on me.

If the choice is between Benazir, Nawaz or a general, I'd choose Benazir and Nawaz any day.
