AURORA FC STUNS SHAZAD MUHAMADAN IN A GOAL-LESS DRAW 

Newcomers Aurora FC created a major upset by holding defending champions shazad

muhamadan to a goal-less draw (0-0). At the National Coaching Cetner(karachi) football ground in the KASB Premier League Football (PLF). The game was played in good weather

condition wherein the spectators witnessed high quality football. Aurora FC who

were the underdogs going into the game played solid defence led by sweeper Qurban and

supported by Samad and Abdul Rehman. Aurora’s Canadian licensed Head Coach

Naqi Azam said the midfield and forward line demonstrated creative set play which

kept Shazad Muhamadan defenders guessing and under constant pressure. The crowd was

treated to a game of fast and accurate short passes and some great individual skills as well

as team work by both the teams. Quick counterattacks by Aurora FC resulted in more

than a dozen shots on goal during the 90-minute session but without any conversion.

The first ten minutes of second half saw Shazad Muhamadan pounding a relentless attack

on Aurora FC. However, the calm and cool Aurora FC defense held the fort

courageously. The final minutes of the game saw Meezan of Aurora FC kicking wide a

golden opportunity to score from 8 yards. “The exciting match was a morale-booster and

we are confident about playing real good football as the team is highly motivated and

eager to reach the top “said the head coach Naqi Azam.
