yetserday in his telephonic address Altaf hussain asked "Sindhi" youth to gather power because Talibans can occupy the province. what he is asking for? a group of armed people who will kill pathans and religious people by declaring taliban???
we all know that this occupation is just a smoke screen to hide the vicious activities. a few thousand talibans neither can defeat state getting out of home nor they have much time left for them. They are hiding to save themselves.
I remember, in karachi in 1989, MQM had posted posters saying" TV VCR baich do-Asliha khareed Lo" and on that map of JinnahPur was given as a seprate state. After that pakistan faced the biggest rebellian ever.Thousands killed and injured. Now again he is calling for same circumstances.
WHY?
Syed Talat hussain, the famous analyst and "all in all" of aaj Tv, a few days back wrote column in which he disclosed that there is a big plan underway to seprate pakistani ports from teh rest of country. If we analyze the situation in balochistan and these statement of Altaf , we can conclude the same.
Govt should take notice of these irresponsible statements.

You have to agree with one thing Babar.. MQM is just making a mountain of a molehill here.. there is no chance of Talibanization of Karachi - at least not on a scale of FATA or Swat. They just want to sideline islamic parties.

I agree Postman. Moreover they want to sideline pakhtoon majority who is a big threat for them because they are running many deptts of daily life like transportation, hotels, workshops etc and they are the only force which can challange MQM's "workers" power as we experienced in teh start of thsi year when agha shahi arrived with thousands of pathans at court to protect lawyers.
In 1989 they did firing on airbase faysal and they had cut the water supply to naval offices at shahra-e-faisal. Now I was convyed by a "friend" that the conflict between PPP and MQM is goign to peak because of Liari occupation. MQM is willing to control that area but PPP's backing is to Rehman dcate group. Moreover IJ has announced Seprate SPs for industrial areas(korangi and site) to protect the factories who were forced to pay "FUND" to governing regeim of city. This has created a problem for MQM to "sponser" their activities. In my stay at karachi I met many Mohajir brotherns who were fedup of this dirty politics of altaf bhai. Currently Sunni tehrek is under fire. Daily their one or two workers are being killed.
Did you see that poster drive of MQM Mianjee regarding Talibanization? I was pathetic to say the least. They had pics of severed legs and a warning to the inhabitants to beware of Taliban. Just so pathetic.
WHAT ELSE AS AN ISSUE THEY HAVE? 4 times they enjoyed Govt sharing and couldnot get a seprate domicile for mohajir community and Job Qouta which shows their level of seriousness towards their basic issue. they didnt establish a new university in teh city,not a single medical college, no new engneering university. khidmat-e-khalaq ka bhee shor shraba ziada hai...zalzaly pay madad kernay gay aur wahan wall chalkign kertay hoay kashmirion say lar ker agay...hakrat-ul-mujahidin say bhe ejhagra ker lia aur jamation say bhee. if you are concerned with welfare why wall chalking and posters needed..12 truck lay ker gay thay aur taqseem kernay say pehlay naray bazi shru ker di
Yet all of the above did not stop 80% of Karachiets to vote for MQM. What is better gauge to judge correctness of your claims than to see elections results? We Lahorites may not agree with their "way of life" but Karachiets give a damn about what you n me think of them.

In our last debate on wheat export to NWFP you were all against Paktoons & argued them to be wrong as they complained of Shahbaz's injustices and now you are suddenly supportive of them. I suppose your support (or lack of it) is situational.

babar bhia: i didnt say anything against mohajirs or pakhttoon...i am against these so-called QOAM PRAST PARTIES which give statements against punjab just to get rush on their shop. Just liek , if we say USA is bad then it means that US policies and Governing regeim, not the masses. Similarly when talking about pakhtoons and Mohajirs prujidice we mean the prujidice of so-called leaders. Common Mohajir, pathan sindhi and baloch have no prujidice about punjab..these poor are suffering for two times living...i have no double standereds jani..

Babar: regarding vote please visit karachi and see the atmosphere of threat in teh days of polling. Afaq ahmed's interview about MQM's Dhandhli when he was in MQM is an eye opener. How do they put targets of votes at every sector incharge and how the targets go down to units...every worker is supposed to bring the certain number of votes..how? it is hsi concern..that interview was published in Takbeer karachi. In this election of Feb2008, from clifton constituency MQM candidate got 125,000 votes. The oppenent Mirza ishtiaq Baig got 38,000 votes...Total registered voters of that constituency are 198,000 ...it means there was turnout around85-90% which is a biggest lie ever. This turnout is even not possible in US where all voters are educated and awear of their voting rights
1- Not true Mianjee. The statement was against Punjab government (not against people of Punjab) and Shahbaz's name was specifically mentioned in his statement. See for yourself

2- So does higher turnout means dhandli in itself? I know many in Karachi, some support MQM others PPP but no one has ever told me of any forced voting. Plus in city like Karachi there were tens of thousands of journalist, actively reporting to their respective news agencies. How come no concreat proof of dhandli or forced voting was presented thus far.
How do you expect me to beleive these claims when no substancial evidence is presented?

serving generals are easy to criticize because woh apnay designation ki laaj to rukhtay hain. MQM kay karnamy sun'nay kay liay Imran khan aur Gen Naser Ullah babar ko contact kijyay..

I have only recently grown tolerant of MQM i.e. 1) since they have changed their political methodologies & 2) Dr. Farooq Sattar is a far more decent in comparison to Altaf bhai.
One other reason is that Pakistan has got far bigger problems (including al-Qaida/Taliban) to face at the moment so MQM is hardly a concern.

if farooq sattar comes as party chief , i will be changed too. A person sitting miles away handling his party just by fone calls and threats. much"fund" of MQM goes on that...I am Fedup now by listening "ALtaf Bhai ki philosphy" just as PPP narrates again and again BB Shaheed. na un ki shaheed theek na in ki philosphy.
For 15 years Altaf remained tellign his workers that PPP is a fuedal party and they are murderer of our |"innocent" workers by police action...and now he made a political summer sault and joined their hands. You cant name a party with which MQM didnt share power. Their only philosphy is " be in rulign regeim"
So who in your opinion is any better when it comes to Pakistani politics?

to me ..the party is lesser important than the people we vote for...while we are voting we should consider the personal traits because our parties have no agenda/manifesto...at least we should select a gentleman. a looter should not be given vote because when he will loote we will be held responsible because we selected him

by the way babar...this group have no financial corruption charges..Hamid Gul , qazi, mehmood achakzai & imran khan...You can allege them for their previous support to a dictator but we will not find a politician who was not brought up in army nursery... so i think this group is a better choice than PPP and PML N, Q ..who are many times tried and we got nothing except corruption
I know many politicians from different parties who remained honest being member parliament. if we all select good people then we will have a better parliament.
So does Taliban and Al-Qaida but we don't elect them to represent us. It is not always about corruption, we need to elect people who are from mainstream Pakistan and not some fascist lunatics. e.g. Look what Bush (another fascist religious man) has done to America and to rest of the world.

i Believe that financial corruption leads to any other kind of corruption...If you will have ill-got money..it will be "ill-gone"...if you will be having ligitimize resources then you will ofcourse expend it carefully...nowadasy only two head of parties have clear assets in front of people..in previosu election given details of theri wealth. but you will be surprised to listen that Gohar ayub showed no vehical in his possession. He wrote that he uses vehicals of his son...Mian nawaz shrief hide so much tax that his tax paid was just in thousands...BB disowned Saray County palace and now his hubby is askign for money of its auction...
so just seek for financial honesty and it will get its fruits...You cant find many qualifiers in a single person but you can follow thsi chriteria...if people get the message that they should not select tax skippers and misusers of national treasure , you will see a major shift
You have right to maintian that opinion of above individuals. I have no intent to vote for them. There is only one way I can turn in favor of Imran Khan and i.e. if he clearly distant himself from Gul & Qazi Co. No mullahs for Pakistan
