Ahmad Faraz is fighting for his life these days.
Khali hathoun kou kabhe ghour say daikha hai faraz
Kis tarah loug lakeeroun say nikal jatay hain
Janay walay kou na rokou kay bharam rah jaye
Tum pukaro bhe tou kab us kou thahar jana hai
Sirf yeh soch kar tum say mohabat kartay hain Faraz
Maira tou koi nahin, tumhara tou koi hua
Woh Jis Kay pass rehta tha dostoun ka hajoom
Suna hai Faraz, kal raat ehsas-e-tanhai se mar gaya

Silsilay taur gia woh sabhy jatay jatay
Warna itnay tao marasim thay kay aatay jatay

I heard that Ahmad Faraz has died. Is it true? And his elder son was confirming Geo about his death.....what was that then?

na ye ki husn-e-taam ho
na dekhne mein 'Aam si
na ye ki woh chale to kahkashaaN si rahguzar lage
magar woh saath ho to phir bhala bhala safar lage
koi bhi rut ho us ki chchab
fiza ka rang-o-roop thi
woh garmiyoN ki chchaaoN thi
woh sardiyoN ki dhoop thi
na muddatoN judaa rahe
na saath subh-o-shaam ho
na rishta-e-wafa pe zid
na ye ki izn-e-'Aam ho
na aisi Khush libasiyaaN
ki saadgi gila kare
na itni be takallufi
ki aaina haya kare
na iKhtilaat mein woh ram
ki bad-mazah hoN KhwahisheN
na is qadar supurdigi
ki zach kareN nawazisheN
na aashiqi junoon ki
ki zindagi 'azaab ho
na is qadar kaThor pan
ki dosti Kharaab ho
kabhi to baat bhi Khafi
kabhi sukoot bhi suKhan

wafa pe bahas chchid gayi
main ishq ko amar kahoon
woh meri zid se chiDh gayi
maiN ishq ka aseer tha
woh ishq ko qafas kahe
ki umr bhar ke saath ko
woh bad-taraz-hawas kahe
"shajar hijr nahin ki ham
hamesh pa ba gul raheN
na Dhor haiN ki rassiyaaN
gale main mustaqil rahaiN
mohabbatoN ki vus'AtaiN
hamare dst-o-pa meiN haiN
bas aik dar se nisbateiN
sagaan-e-bawafa meiN haiN
maiN koi painting nahiN
ki aik frame meiN rahooN
wahi jo man ka meet ho
usi ke praim meiN rahooN
tumhari soch jo bhi ho
maiN is mizaaj ki nahiN
mujhe wafa se bair hai

na us ko mujh pe maan tha
na mujh ko us pe za'Am hi
jo 'ahad hi koi na hoi
to kya gham-e-shakistagi
so apna apna raasta
hansi Khushi badal diya
woh apni raah chal paDi
main apni raah chal diya
bhali si aik shakl thi
bhali si us ki doosti
ab us ki yaad raat din
nahin, magar "kabhi kabhi"
Why such stress on N? Faraz had flu when he wrote this one? ;)
is mai mera ya faraz uncle ka koi kasoor nai hai.......i copied and pasted it as it was with some changes but not concentrated on the N

dasht main piyas bujhatay hoay mar jatay hain
hum prinday kaheen jatay hoay mar jatay hain
hum hain sookhay hoay talab pay baithay hoay hunse
jo talauq ko nibhatay hoay mar jatay hain
un k bhee qatal ka ilzam humaray sar hai
jo humain zehar pilatay hoay mar jatay hain
ghar punhchta hai koi aur naseebon wala
hum teray shehar say jatay hoay mar jatay hain
yeh mohabbat ki kahani nahi marti laiken
log kirdar nibhatay hoay mar jatay hain
hum woh tooti hoi kashtion walay hain faraz
jo kinaron ko milatay hoay mar jatay hain
Second last verse is interesting Faraz..
AUR FRAZ CHAHYAIN KITNI MOHABBATAIN TUJHY
MAAAON NAY TERAY NAAM PER BAITON KA NAAM RUKH DIA

lakhon kaheh shair per na aya tu baz
